dream a little dream

Yes yes, another one of my fabulous dreams. This one was just too good, I had to write it down somewhere.

So I am just wandering around some random dorm hall on some random college campus with some random girls I don't know.

All of the sudden,
In what MUST have been a telepathic moment,
A group of about 7 of us look at each other and break into perfect harmony, singing Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek".

Soon an audience had gathered,
naturally,
and we were theee spectacle of the century. I mean, this was a song of staggeringly epic proportions. It was mezmerizing.

Then, we finish.... and all walk away like it was nothing.
Like "oh NBD we just sang the coolest version of that song ever without even discussing it beforehand but lets just all walk away without even talking to each other"

HAHA.

Oh and p.s! Explain to me how this works.
So Jason DeRulo right? Remember his song "Whatcha Say"? PFT YEAH. Can you say he totally ripped off Imogen Heap?! He totally ripped off Imogen Heap! Not even a "feat. Imogen Heap"!

Srsylz? Come on let's not be lame Jason.
also, here is the original song, the one we sang in my dream... just for kicks :)

wanna know how many books I am reading right now?

Oh I dunno.
Probably 47ish

NO BUT REALLY

I have a problem.
It's called pickupabookandread30pagesbutgetboredalsoneverhaveenoughtimetoreadanyways-itis.
Here is the list of books I know FOR SURE I am technically "reading" right now.

1. Going After Caciatto
2. What is the What
3. Heartbreaking Work of a Staggering Genius
4. Time Travelers Wife
5. The Good Husband of Zebra Drive
6. The Price of being a Wallflower
7. Jane Eyre (this one I have been reading for about 8 years. THAT IS NOT A LIE)
8. Anthem
9. Atlas Shrugged
10. The Fountainhead
11. Walden
12. The Last Lecture
13. The Secret
14. Watership Down
15. The Diary of Anne Frank
16. Catch 22
17. Alice in Wonderland (which is surprisingly good, just let it be known)
18. Pride and Prejudice

And those are just the ones I can remember!

Oh em gee I am so embarassed slash ashamed. I have failed the literary world.
I hereby proclaim that over the next 5 years of my life, I WILL FINISH EVERY ONE OF THESE.

Even if it kills me.

Aaaannndddd one more thing

Seeing as how I was all "out of town" and such, I have not had the chance to birthday post for my dear friend Raquel Andrus! Rewind to July 24, and Happy Birthday my dear sistah!

1. I met Raquel my freshman year of high school when my family moved to Florida. I was the meager age of 14-15, while she was the ever so old senior. Age did not keep us from being friends however. I grew to love this incredible girl with my whole heart. She always set such a tremendous example for me, and I was amazed at the things she did... at who she was. She always seemed to be so "above" petty, silly, worldly things. Her head was screwed on tight. I heard once that a good friend makes you want to be a better person, and they make it easier to live the gospel. She has done both for me. Even though I only lived in Florida for a year, her influence in my life has lasted through all 6 years I have known her. What a tremendous friend :)
plus we make cool shirts together with lyrics from our favorite spanish songs HA.

2. She is such a super model! I mean look at her! She is a mom now too, which only adds to her already radiant persona. And I was always so jealous of her amazing ebony mane of hair. Gorge.

3. She makes me laugh and she is easy to talk to. Even though she is all married, and I really havent seen her in about 2 years, I did enough talking to her while living in Florida and through the rest of high school to verify my first statement. One time, we skipped school and went to the beach, and we really spent the whole day wandering around the pier and lounging on our towels... just talking. One of my fondest memories with Raquel.

4. Her spirituality rivals that of the general relief societ president (I hope that doesn't sound ridiculous, because it is true). I remember this one time she came to spend the night at my house because my parents were gone, and as we were getting in to bed, she pulled out her scriptures and Ensign. I was so impressed at the fact that even though she was at another person's house, she didn't let the important things falter. That has always stuck with me.

How lucky I am to have such a tremendous friend. Maybe one day when I am actually un-single, I will be able to hang out with her and her cute family more! :)
Happy late Birthday Raqui!

Well, HIYA!

Oh em gee, it's been ages.

No but really.

Right. So like several times before, I feel it is necessary to begin with a disclaimer.
This post has the potential to be the most absurdley long, assasinating, drabest EVER. Ok maybe not drab, but yes the other 2. It's alright I guess, the ensuing breakdown of the adventures during the last 2 1/2 weeks are probably so interesting and exctiting to make up for the length. Lets hope.

So obviously I am home from Hawaii SQUEE! 13 days is a looooonnnnggggg time to spend away on vacation (I was feeling the itch by the last 3 days), but really it was a great time. My family is theee best. So, due to the fact that I don't have the time- or patience -to break the whole trip down RIGHT NOW, here is the sweetened condensed version. I give you:

Hawaii 2.0, part 1
days 1- 6 (ISH)

day 1: wake up at 340 am (YES I am being real), fly fly fly fly fly, land, costco, condo, BEACH
day 2: church, relax in the sun, movies or something of that nature
days 3-6 are speculation aka I am having trouble recalling each day exactly; they included more beach time, snorkeling, kayaking, captain cook monument, the best key lime pie OF MY LIFE, a trip down and up the most terrifying steepest hill I have ever seen, toffee macs, hiking, sea cucumbers, a nice hammock, Kona temple, shave ice, turtles and their eel friend, and lots of good reading. (side note: I Capture the Castle is officially #3 on my list of all-time favorite books. That is news. I am so much in love with it, I may or may not have re-read all my favorite parts again already. HAHA)

Well not going to lie, I am tired or writing about everything that I have already recorded via journals, letters, iPods, lalala, so.... you guessed it..... pikchur time!

Right. So I can't figure out why the pictures decided to go all midget on me, buuuuttttt... I am not going to get my underwear in a bunch over it.
